This painting is about friends of the family that ....we didn't always get along with.
The cat was never the same after their kids came over.
Beyond that, this work is about the nascent personalities children have and how mother all ways knows us best.

You've really struck something with the juxtaposition of those animal eyes in strips over the faces of children. It is very unnerving. I guess, children are often considered little animals to begin with, but I like you bring those nascent concerns/worries/observations about the inner life of children out through the eyes.
